Reed Straws

Our reed straws are known for their durability, their variation in size, and natural earthy color.

No manufacturing has been applied to any of the reed straws. By using reed straws, we're able to cut back on the waste water and emissions that are created by plastic and paper straws.

Another great fact about reed is that reed as a raw material, it is an abundant and quickly renewable source material with excellent functional properties.

  • For Hot or Cold Drinks

    Can be used in all types of temperatures from -20 Degrees Celsius to 100 Degrees Celsius.

  • Naturally Decomposes

    Our reed straws can be thrown into food waste and they can naturally decompose within 3 to 6 months.

  • One Time Use or Reusable

    Can be thrown away after one time use. It can also be reused up to 10 times after rinsing it with water and then letting it naturally dry by itself.

  • How long can the straws be stored?

    Up to 2 years if stored in dry place.

  • How can the straws be handled after use?

    They can be thrown in food waste and they will naturally decompose within 3-6 months.

  • Is the straw reusable?

    Yes, the reed straw can be single time use or used up to around 10 times after being washed and dried properly!

  • Where do the reed straws come from?

    Our reed straws come from China.

  • What's the length and width of the straw?

    We have two sizes for our reed straws:

    Length: 20cm/ Width: 6-8mm
    Length: 20cm/ Width: 10-11mm

  • Does the straw become soggy inside drinks?

    Nope! That's one of the reed straws' strengths.

  • Are the straws refundable?

    Due to COVID-19 and hygiene purposes, the straws are not refundable unless there is a defect with the product. If so, please email us at hello@herbgens.com with photos of the product within 7 days of receiving.

  • Do you have any certifications?

    Yes, we have been SGS approved. Details can be given upon request.

  • Does the straw have to be washed before use?

    No, all of our grass straws have already been cleaned thoroughly. They can be used right after being opened.

  • What kind of drinks can the straw be used for?

    Any type of drink! Our straws can be used for both hot and cold drinks from temperatures from -20 degrees Celsius up to 100 degrees Celsius. They can even be used for alcohol.

  • How long does shipping take?

    Within Taiwan: usually 2-3 days after purchase.

    International shipping: up to 8 days after purchase, depending in which country you are located in.
